Iain is the Acting Chief Executive of ICC Belfast | Waterfront Hall | Ulster Hall, where he leads the organisation in driving operational excellence and strategic alignment with the company’s goals. Since his appointment as Director of Finance, Risk, and Corporate Services in March 2016, Iain has played an instrumental role in shaping the company’s financial and corporate strategies. With extensive experience spanning over a decade in director-level roles and a professional accounting background as a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants, he brings a deep expertise in commercial finance and senior management to the company.
Throughout his career, Iain has amassed substantial experience across various sectors, including global and local manufacturing, retail, and service industries, equipping him with a comprehensive view of the business landscape. His responsibilities at ICC Belfast | Waterfront Hall | Ulster Hall include developing and implementing policies, procedures, and training programs within the Finance and Corporate Services departments, managing delegated budgets, and preparing the annual business plans and five-year strategies in close collaboration with the Board and Chief Executive.
Iain is also committed to upholding standards of excellence across all operations, working closely with all departments to ensure efficient, high-quality service delivery. He oversees asset management, procurement, legal advice, and records management, while serving as the main liaison between the venues and Belfast City Council. Iain’s focus on team development and continuous improvement ensures the company meets its strategic goals effectively, enhancing the company’s reputation and aligning with the standards set by the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants.
