Frequently Asked Questions

How do I write a great web listing?

Your web listing has to be enticing while being as informative as possible. Write it from a third person voice, as though you are talking about your business from someone else’s perspective. For example, Joe’s Bar has live music every night (rather than ‘We have live music every night’).

Make sure to include a location, opening times, contact details and information on what the visitor should expect. Ensure your web listing includes everything applicable that you offer, the more information we have the more areas we can promote your product or service. If there are changes throughout the year, make sure to keep us informed.

What section on the website will I be listed under?

You will be placed in the category most relevant to the product you offer. Your listing will appear in one section and one category within that section. If relevant, you can also be tagged in up to two sub-categories.

For example, if you offer a walking tour that covers political history, your listing will be placed in See & Do > Sightseeing Tours and tagged as ‘Walking Tour’ and ‘Political History’ tour.

How do I promote my events and offers?

You can submit events and offers to be included on our website by sending a completed form to along with high quality supporting imagery. Events and offers must be something different from your usual offering, confined to a specific time frame. For example, a one-off tour or a special discount you’re running for two weeks only. Like web listings, make sure your events and offers form contain a times, dates, locations and enticing content written in the third person.

How do I get included in online marketing and social media?

By having a listing on our website, and by regularly submitting events and offers, you will be considered for inclusion in our online marketing, which includes ezines, blog content, and social media activity. Our busy digital team includes relevant and engaging content from partners where possible, however it helps if you provide tailored, up-to-date content with striking imagery that could run alongside seasonal themes such as Halloween and Christmas etc. You could also consider running a competition with us.
