The 2023 Visit Belfast Christmas Campaign focus is on promoting Belfast as a premier Christmas destination.
The objectives for this campaign were to motivate and inspire visits to the city, promote Belfast as a premier retail, tourism and hospitality destination and to stimulate demand and spend to city businesses.
The audiences that were targeted for this campaign include:
- Active Maximisers and Open Minded Explorers for ROI
- Aspiring Families and Social Instagrammers for NI
- Culturally Curious and Social Energisers for GB
Campaign Strategy
This was a 5-week campaign that was rolled out across a number of different channels.
- Outdoor: Targeting the commuter hubs of Dublin, with 10x premium impact digital screens at Connolly Station and Transvision screens at Connolly, Heuston, and Busarras.
- Broadcaster Video on Demand (BVOD) : 30 second ads across RTE Player, Virgin Media Player, All 4 and ITV Hub
- Radio: Lyric / Dublins Q102 / Sunshine FM / Spin 1038/ Cool FM and Q Radio Network
- Spotify: 135,000 x 30 second audio ads across the 5 weeks plus an accompanying banner.
- YouTube: This was used to extend the reach of BVOD activity.
- Google Display: Targeted Christmas shoppers and short break planners.
- Social Media: Organic posts and Paid Advertising across Visit Belfast Channels.
