Over 140 conference organisers, event planners and
meeting professionals will arrive in Belfast on Thursday 28 January for an
exclusive preview of the new look Belfast Waterfront, which reopens in May
following a £29.5 million refurbishment.

Rolling out the red carpet ahead of their visit are (from left to right) Gerry
Lennon, Chief Executive of Visit Belfast, Jenny Patterson, Revenue and Business
Generation Manager with Belfast Waterfront, John McGrillen, Chief Executive of
Tourism Northern Ireland, and the Lord Mayor of Belfast, Councillor Arder
Carson.

With construction work now drawing to a close, guests have been invited to
explore over 7,000m2 of flexible, purpose-built space, see firsthand how the
extended facilities will cater for up to 5,000 guests at conferences,
exhibitions and other events, and enjoy a sampling of local, drink and
entertainment during the showcase, which has been organised by Belfast
Waterfront, Tourism Northern Ireland and Visit Belfast.

Over 30 international and national events have already been confirmed for the
remodeled Waterfront over the next three years, with the venue expected to
attract 55,000 conference delegates and bring in £100 million for Belfast by
2020.
