The Fitzwilliam Hotel, Belfast has scooped one of the top accolades in the UK hospitality sector, having been named AA Hotel of the Year Northern Ireland 2019-20.
ntroduced in 1992, this award is the AA’s ultimate accolade for hotels in the UK. It is awarded to hotels that are recognised as being outstanding examples in their market. Ten years ago, The Fitzwilliam Hotel opened its doors for the first time in the heart of Belfast city centre, next door to The Grand Opera house on Great Victoria Street. A luxurious, AA five-star boutique hotel, with 146 design led guest rooms and affectionately known as ‘The Fitz’ by locals, it is the epitome of style and excellence.

Then last year, the hotel’s exceptional standard of accommodation was then further awarded a five-star rating by the AA, acknowledging its excellence in hospitality. The à la carte restaurant was also presented with an AA Rosette Award for its quality of food and fresh produce.
