Embark on an extraordinary adventure this mid-term at W5, where an array of captivating experiences awaits the whole family.
From a brand-new theatre show that features big bangs and crazy chemical concoctions, to a live theatrical exploration through the human anatomy, there is something for all the family at W5 this mid-term.
From 12-18 February, visitors can also answer a world of questions by exploring eight action-packed zones and over 250 hands-on exhibits. Get ready to launch a rocket, put your presenting skills to the test in W5’s state-of-the-art TV studio, venture through an immersive vortex tunnel, climb aboard a pirate ship, and so much more. Multiverse Mayhem
Prepare for explosive experiments and cool chemical reactions in W5’s new theatre show, Multiverse Mayhem. Meet the scientists who are travelling through the multiverse – they have landed at W5 and are here to see if the fundamental scientific theories in this world match those in other dimensions. With only 30 minutes before they are sucked back into the vortex, they must conduct as many out-of-this-world experiments as possible!
Multiverse Mayhem is free with general admission to W5. Shows have limited capacity and will be filled on a first come, first served basis.
Autopsy
Delve into the anatomy of the human body in this live theatre show. As part of the 2024 NI Science Festival, Autopsy will take the audience on a multi-sensory journey that seeks to educate and inform on the importance of the greatest machine; the human body. Using a high-tech blend of projection mapping, scanning and lighting, watch on as we make that initial incision and peel back the skin on our subject and delve into the wonders within!
Autopsy is free with general admission to W5. Shows have limited capacity and will be filled on a first come, first served basis on Saturday 24 and Sunday 25 February. Suitable for ages 12+. Parental guidance is advised for younger audience members.
Ghosts of Winterly Manor
This mid-term, stroll through W5’s thrilling Ghosts of Winterly Manor experience. Roam the creaking halls and meet many of the spectral spirits that once called this haunted manor home. From the old butler to the headless horseman, brace yourself for encounters with these mysterious figures.
Ghosts of Winterly Manor is a family-friendly, walk-through experience and is free with general admission to W5.
Inspire Curious Minds with 250+ Interactive Exhibits and Eight Fun-Filled Zones
Fire the spirit of discovery this mid-term at Belfast’s award-winning science and discovery centre. Immerse yourself in eight fun-filled zones, including a magical under-8s area where family favourite fairy tales come to life. From little explorers to big kids and everyone in between, there is something for everyone this February at W5.
