TITANIC Belfast is giving one lucky child the opportunity to join Father Christmas to switch on the festive lights at the world-leading visitor attraction on Sunday 19th November.
People are invited to nominate their little stars and as part of the festivities, one lucky elf will be the first to greet Father Christmas and his reindeers, have the job of adding the sparkle to the iconic building and get an advanced preview of Titanic Belfast’s ‘A Magical Christmas Experience’ before it is opened to the public. Four runners up will also win a family pass to the advanced preview.
There will be lots of free festive fun for everyone to look forward to on Sunday 19th November from 2pm, starting with the arrival of Father Christmas and the official illuminating ceremony followed by carols, funfair entertainers, Christmas crafts and lots more.
Judith Owens MBE, Chief Executive of Titanic Belfast said: “We are so excited to give children the chance to play a starring role in kick-starting the Christmas celebrations at Titanic Belfast by switching on our festive illuminations on Sunday 19th November. Our Christmas family fun day is hugely popular and we’re delighted to see so many families attending every year to mark the start of their own festive days out together. We are inviting everyone to join us for lots of fun, entertainment and seasonal food and drinks.”
‘A Magical Christmas Experience’ will open to the public from Friday 24th November until Saturday 23rd December and visitors will journey through the Enchanted Forest to make a wish by the Magical Wishing Tree, see the Elves’ Workshop, visit Mrs Claus to hear Christmas tales, write and post their own Christmas letter, enjoy some festive arts and crafts before meeting Father Christmas himself.
