We are delighted that the Ards and North Down Borough Council’s, Annnnnnd Relax! Autumn Destination Awareness Campaign is due to launch on Thursday 10 October 2024.

The council’s tourism team aim to shine a light on the borough as an appealing region for great value short breaks and getaways, promoting Ards and North Down to visitors from NI and ROI via the campaign which will be rolled out across, the council’s social media, website, email marketing , paid-for digital advertising, partnership promotions and a range of Out of Home advertising over the coming weeks.

 

The purpose of the campaign

This campaign will appeal to potential visitors for short breaks who wish to relax and unwind, have a laid-back or coastal holiday, whilst also highlighting free things to do and activities / locations that are value for money whilst supporting the tourism providers located here.

It will showcase the region as an appealing visitor destination which is easily accessible, whilst building awareness of what Ards and North Down has to offer through growing Visit Ards and North Down’s online audience following.

The campaign focuses on all there is on offer in the coastal haven of Ards and North Down. It incorporates a playful use of emotive language, resonating with the feelings, of relaxation and exploration.

It will incorporate the beauty of the local area while also focusing on the key messages of relaxation, escapism, laid back breaks, costal living, and great food and drinks.

This will undoubtedly resonate with natural quality seekers and open-minded explorers living in NI and ROI that are keen to enjoy the outdoors while enjoying a new experiences.

#ANDDiscoverSomethingNew is used throughout the campaign.

 

Visuals

The visual assets give a sense of the area, the breathtaking scenery, beautiful landmarks, range of accommodation options and delicious local food and drink. We encourage the visitor to ‘Relax, Enjoy, Explore and Breathe’ giving that sense of a laid-back getaway which you can tailor to suit your needs, encompassing the great outdoors, coastal seascapes, opportunities for rest and relaxation along with wonderful hospitality and great local food and drink.

The call to action is simple and clear, book a great value short break, tourism providers special offers will be highlighted throughout the campaign and the added bonus of a chance to win £300 off your next stay to also drive traffic to the website.
