A Taste of Hope – Titanic Hotel Belfast Serves up Yellow Daisy Afternoon Tea for Chosen Charity
Titanic Hotel Belfast is inviting guests to experience a very special afternoon tea with a difference. To mark Childhood Cancer Awareness Month, the hotel has developed a unique limited-edition Yellow Daisy Afternoon Tea, created in support of its official charity partner, Cancer Fund for Children.
Inspired by the charity’s daisy flower, which symbolises hope and resilience, the new menu has been thoughtfully curated and themed by Titanic Hotel Belfast’s executive chef Alistair Fullerton. Guests can indulge in a reimagined version of the hotel’s classic afternoon tea, with an array of sweet and savoury delights presented with a yellow flourish, all while raising vital funds to support children and families impacted by cancer.
The pastry selection has been designed around the season’s fresh and uplifting flavours from zesty lemon and passionfruit to smooth vanilla and pineapple, with each sweet treat crafted to capture a balance of brightness and indulgence, with delicate choux, teacakes and signature Titanic Hotel Belfast macarons reimagined this season with the refined pairing of matcha and white chocolate.
The Yellow Daisy Afternoon Tea is being served in the Harland Bar at Titanic Hotel Belfast daily, between 12:00pm and 4:30pm, until 19 October. Guests can choose from the Yellow Daisy Afternoon Tea priced at £45, or a range of afternoon tea options by adding Prosecco, Champagne or treating themselves to the exclusive Yellow Daisy Cocktail Afternoon Tea which is priced at £55 per person.
From each purchase of Afternoon Tea, diners will be donating £6 to Cancer Fund for Children, ensuring that every guest’s experience makes a meaningful difference. All proceeds raised will go directly to the charity to help provide essential support services for children and their families navigating the challenges of a cancer diagnosis.
Adrian McNally, General Manager of Titanic Hotel Belfast, said: “Creating this new Yellow Daisy Afternoon Tea has enabled us to extend our support of our chosen charity, Cancer Fund for Children, during Childhood Cancer Awareness Month. The daisy is a powerful symbol of hope and optimism, and it has inspired our executive chef to create something both unique and uplifting for our guests to enjoy.
“By joining us until mid October, our visitors will be able to indulge in a memorable dining experience, knowing they are contributing directly to a charity that delivers vital emotional and practical support to families at their most difficult time. We are proud by collaborating with Cancer Fund for Children that together we can make a genuine difference and bring some light to those who need it most.”
Sarah Clements, Partnership and Philanthropy Lead Executive at Cancer Fund for Children, added: “We are so grateful to the Titanic Hotel for their support in marking Childhood Cancer Awareness Month with the launch of the Yellow Daisy Afternoon Tea. Every week in Northern Ireland, 3 children and young people (aged 0-24) will be diagnosed with cancer, and the vital funds raised through our partnerships help ensure we can be there for families when they need us most, whether that’s at home, in hospital, or at our therapeutic short break centre, Daisy Lodge. This means children, young people and their families receive the right support at the right time, so they don’t have to face cancer alone.”
The partnership with Cancer Fund for Children further reflects Titanic Hotel Belfast’s ongoing commitment to making a positive impact in the local community. Located in the heart of Belfast’s historic Titanic Quarter, the hotel has been awarded Northern Ireland’s Leading Hotel for seven consecutive years since opening in September 2017.
Guests are encouraged to book in advance to secure their table, as the limited-edition Yellow Daisy Afternoon Tea is available until 19 October. Reservations can be made by emailing afternoontea@titanichotelbelfast.com or visiting the hotel’s website to view the full menu and booking details.
So, come together with family and friends to sip, savour, and support. Every plate shared and every glass raised will help make a difference in the lives of children and families affected by cancer.
