NSPCC Northern Ireland has partnered with Value Cabs to promote its vital child protection helpline.  The helpline provides help and support to anyone who may have concerns about a child.  It is available by telephone or online 24 hours a day and adults can remain anonymous.

Supporting the campaign, Paul McCausland of Value Cabs said: “We are delighted to partner with the NSPCC to promote the helpline to communities across Belfast. The helpline is a great resource for adults and can help NSPCC reach children and families who need support. We believe that our local taxis provide an excellent way of promoting this service, given the many families who use our services every day.  We will be displaying the number prominently inside the cabs so that anyone who has any concerns about the welfare of a child, knows how to contact the NSPCC.”

Margaret Gallagher, Local Campaigns   Manager at NSPCC Northern Ireland, who has developed the initiative, commented: “Value Cab’s support in helping to promote our helpline number is invaluable.  We are aware of the many relationships and vital community links that Value Cabs and its drivers have with so many people throughout Belfast and beyond. We hope that this increased visibility and information about the helpline will encourage anyone, with a concern about a child, to contact us quickly, so that we can support and reach children and families in need as soon as possible”.
