Artist Rob Heard will bring his evocative Shrouds of the
Somme exhibition to Belfast next month.
The exhibition will remember the thousands of servicemen
who died in the Battle of the Somme who have no known graves. Nearly 4,000 (3,775) tiny
handmade figures will be laid in the Garden of Remembrance at City Hall from 23
August – 16 September.
Memories, stories and photographs are also being
collected through the Commonwealth War Graves Commission digital archive.
