In February 2021, Visit Belfast launched its three-year recovery plan ‘Rebuilding City Tourism 2021-24. The plan set out a new direction of travel for tourism promotion and illustrated the need to work together, to engage with local businesses and communities; and amplify the local experiences and stories unique to Belfast.
As part of the roll out of these plans, Visit Belfast hosted a lunchtime session on Tuesday 25 May 2021 with the theme of “Love Local”, featuring destination expert Terry Stevens, Pia Lange Christensen, CEO of Visit Aarhaus, and Petra Stusek MD of Ljubljana Tourism and President of European Cities Marketing.
Each speaker shared their insights and experiences of engaging communities to benefit both citizens and visitors to destinations, and the event is now available to rewatch below.
